Zenbusiness is a company that helps others launch and run their own businesses, simply a step by step through a website for their clients. Although the times are changing and the company sees the need to offer the same service through a mobile application for iOS and Android. As a result they created a new team to carry out this mission and Multiplied provided a team of three QA engineers to support with all quality processes on the new project.
Multiplied build a team of three QA engineers and they were part of the first steps of the application including the first designs, settings and other processes necessary to start with the new goal. Planning not only testing but enhancements and other possible needs for the product.
The team supported and guided Zenbusiness’s team to develop together with the Multiplied QA team, who made sure that all the requirements of the new application were met correctly but above all with quality.
Our team started from ground zero, first by understanding the needs of each of the tickets and thinking of all the possible test scenarios and creating the test cases for each application module and both operating systems.
Normally the team was in charge of reviewing each of the tickets for the sprint, reporting the necessary errors and moving it to Done once it met all the requirements. For each new release of the application (about every two weeks) the team executed a regression to make sure all the previous functionalities continued to work as well and also the new improvements were integrated as expected.
Additionally, The team automated a suite of test cases for both platforms with the Maestro tool.
Our three QA engineers worked on the creation of almost 250 test cases for both applications and then they started with automation of them with the Maestro tool, they managed to automate around 70% ~ 75% of cases.
Our scripts also were used by other employees in the company when a new module was implemented because Zenbusiness’s team made internal and external Dojos to receive feedback on the new functionalities before sending them to the clients. And also these test cases were examples for the other teams, and they started to create their own test cases seeing its usefulness.
